Hi Shell1402, it's great that you have this appointment but I'm sorry for what you have been through. I referred myself (i.e paid for the appt!) after 2 implantation failures following ICSI and a miscarriage and it was the best thing I ever did. If you have time read the book Is Your Baby Body Friendly? by Dr Alan Beer - it goes into alot of detail about miscarriages and the connection with immunology. As with most things there are 2 camps of beliefs - one who believes there is a connection and one who doesn't. I went with my gut feeling that I had a problem, turned out I didnt from the basic tests, but I did the protocol as if I did have a problem and following another ICSI cycle, we were successful and our daughter is now 5! Of course there are other reasons for miscarriage other than immunolgy, such as chromosome abnormalities (karyotyping) - which means both of you have a blood test; thrombophilia which is a blood clotting issue & issues with the uterus so this would show up on a scan. I'm not sure if your miscarriages were following IVF treatment or you got pregnant naturally, but this shouldnt make any difference with the tests. If you Google Miscarriage clinic, there is a FAQ section on their website that might help you with some questions to ask. Also you may want to look at the miscarriageassociation.org.uk for more info. Dont forget to ask, ask and ask again if you dont understand!! I think I actually took notes when I had my appointment! Good luck and I really hope you get answers that lead to a happy ending xx
