Single embryo transfer- depressed & looking for reassurance.

Hello, I had a 5 day single FET 3 days ago. I was due to transfer 2 & freeze the remaining ones, only to find out minutes before the transfer that 9 of our 10 embryos didn't make it. I was & I still am devastated. This is my last ivf. I'm feeling very down and spent most of today crying. I'm posting as I'd love some reassurance/to find out if it is possible to get pregnant with just one embryo. I've convinced myself I needed at least 2 to have any chance. Thanks so much.

Aaah honey, of course you can, you only need one. And blasts are great. Fingers and toes crossed. I know it's horrid to find out the others didn't make it. We had 16 , 4 survived but bad quality. 2 implanted, none frozen.

Now I have another 6 cool kids waiting for a FET in Feb

Good luck!

Hey there, I've definitely been there! Only got 5 eggs (had at least 15 follicles??) and was so upset I cried for at least 24 hours. 3 matured and fertilised. By day 3 only one was good enough so we transfered it. I'm due to give birth in just under 3 weeks!!!!! It really only does take one! Keep the faith xxxx

I can imagine how devastating it was to be told that right at the last minute. But everyone is right- it only takes one and maybe this one was a good one. Fingers crossed x

Thank you. Putting my positive face on this morning.

Hiya

As the normal way of getting pregnant it only takes 1.

I understand that you always loose at least 50-60 percent of eggs, I always lost mine and ever only remained with 2 to transfer.

Try to pick yourself up as you need to be positive. Xx

Thank you, going to be positive today. I think getting out of the house & going to work will help.
