Hi I've got to the toilet this morning and there was blood, I know spotting is common but it's red. Rang hospital and they said if it gets any heavier to go in. Feel like I'm going to come on my period I have that feeling in my stomach. Had anyone else experienced this?x

Hey sorry to hear this but it could be inplantsti on bleed which is good.

Is there pain? Clots?

Try to rest and keep hydrated.

Many woman bleed and go in to a BFP XX

Thanks for your reply X just scares me because I'm feeling the way I feel when I'm about to come on. Wasn't pain before but then a little on right side and now left side of stomach. No clots. I'm going to have a day of doing nothing tomorrow. I'll try and be positive thanks xx

Don't want to give you false hope hun, but I've heard of this happening on here before, esp with the pain/discomfort moving from one side to the other and the ladies have had a bfp.

Implantation bleeding is very common in ivf and also your cervix is very vascular and has been through a lot, so could be that too. As long as there are no large clots, heavy bleed etc, all should be well, but do keep in touch with your clinic.

Thanks for the reply it's helped as I'm not feeling very positive today. Scariest waiting game ever! Feel like I'm waiting for my period now instead though xx

Hi, as the others have said, bleeding is quite common. And actually, so are cramps. I had both in the early days. The cramping was like you described and the bleed was red but only lasted an hour or so and was gone again but it was heavy enough to fill a panty liner. I have a pregnancy book that says cramping is really normal, particularly in first pregnancies. I felt it most on my left side but also had period like pain at times and then a pulling sensation if I got up awkwardly. I guess things are stretching a lot. The progesterone doesn't help matters either, it can give the same symptoms as you'd expect prior to period. It's a difficult time but try to stay rested, hydrated and at the same time occupy yourself to keep your mind off it all. As it's Christmas, you could watch some festive movies to cheer yourself up! You only have a few more days to test day now, continue with the pessaries and test regardless. x

Thanks for your message. It just feels so wrong bleeding and feeling like I'm coming on period and hard to get my head around that it's common. But I need to be more positive! Work tomorrow something to focus on. Thanks again x
