Hi, I just wanted you post something to give some of you a bit of hope. When going through my first IVF treatment, during egg collection, they found no eggs. I was heart broken.
Second IVF they found egg but the embryo didn't hold.
Thirds treatment they transferred our 2 remaining fertilised eggs and result, I'm pregnant.
It's a long road but I believe they if it's possible for me than there is hope for you too!
Congratulations and thank you for posting this, a little ray of hope for those of us going through the process - just because it doesn't work first time doesn't mean there won't be a happy ending it's very hard to remember that when you're in the middle of it though. I have my EC on Monday for my first round of IVF and as my follicles haven't all grown at the same rate I'm not sure how many eggs they'll get - also they seem to be worried about me ovulating beforehand. I'm terrified we won't end up with any. It's nice to be reminded it can still work out in the end xxx
Just remember any eggs is good. We only ended up with 3 fertilised eggs the second time and it worked. If you do end up with none...remember it's not the end, you'll just have to try again. Stay positive though! Xx
Something similar to my boss. Nothing on first IVF, long protocol on second, now just short of 7 weeks pregnant. Wishes do come true. Congratulations xx
Congratulations! My first cycle was cancelled due to poor response. I only took low amount of drugs as tests showed probable PCOS - 5 eggs, 3 fertilised, 1 made it to day 3= 26 weeks pregnant!!!!
