Hi, This could be a silly question but if you have FET with eggs frozen from a fresh cycle does that class as your second funded go or is it still part of the first?

In my NHS in Glasgow they considered it part of the same cycle so was still funded. Don't know if it is the same in all parts of the country. Just phone your clinic or email them and ask direct. Any questions like that just ask them direct as my NHS were crap at giving you realistic answers unless you pushed for them. Best of luck its good news for you, xxx
I'm in London and my area only funds one fresh cycle and one frozen so my FET will be under the NHS but if that doesn't work we will have to pay privately. Please check with your clinic as every area seems to have different rules xx
In my NHS area (Leeds) they also class FET as part of the same cycle. Unless you have had a previous success with embryos from that cycle and then they say you have a baby so no longer class for any funding and have to pay for the FET.
Thanks that's great to hear. We're only just starting out so I keep thinking of more questions but then forgetting to ask at the appts!
I'm part of the West Midlands clinic and FET is classed as part of the first cycle thankfully, so still have one more funded fresh cycle if the FET doesn't work either. good luck to you x
Hi saffi2182. You could check with your clinic, or have a look at fertilityfairness.co.uk where you can see for yourself the funding allowed in your area. Often a frozen cycle is included as part of the ist funded cycle, then you start again with your 2nd fresh cycle if you have further funding. Good luck. Diane
