First step on the journey

I got home late last night to an appointment letter from the hospital. 20th October! I was told it would be at least a year (Feb/Mar) so I'm really pleased! I know it's the first of many appointments but my GP has already done a lot of the tests so hopefully this is one step closer to having some help achieving our dream xx

Good luck with your appointment. My dh and I didn't have to wait long, 6 weeks I think, and since then our clinic have been really proactive. You do hear some horror stories so assume it's going to take ages to get an appointment and then many months for the follow up etc so it's nice to hear (and experience!) speedy, effective treatment. Have you had a transvaginal scan? If not then they'll probably want to book you in for one. Best of luck xx

My referral was submitted at the end of February, was told the wait would be a year at least, so although its been a while it's quicker than expected which is positive!!

I've had multiple Progesterone tests, day3-5 hormone, a scan, a HSG and hubby has had his SA. So we are a little way along the road already. I am having acupuncture too.

All I can think is that our situation is positive and we are doing everything we can to achieve our dream of a family.

Oh wow, you've had the lot then! We'd had everything apart from a hsg/HyCoSy prior to being referred. I've been having acupuncture too, for nearly 7 months now, but we've decided to have a break from it for a month or two. I'm also having herbs, has your acupuncturist mentioned herbs to you?

I'd imagine the hospital will suggest clomid to you. I will hopefully be put on it in the new year, I'm awaiting a laparoscopy at the moment. Fingers crossed your appointment goes well.xx
