Does anybody know why your advised not to use Ibuprofen after you have your Down regulation bleed?

I didn't relise this was the case & I have been taking it as & when I needed.

This has left me a little worried, although we had our DR scan & everything was fine in that respect.

Hi Rach_316. It was always believed that taking ibuprofen during IVF treatment was safe. However, there has been some talk of it possibly interfering with implantation of a developing embryo, so maybe best to steer clear of it, unless specifically prescribed. It should not be taken during the latter part of pregnancy, as it can sometimes cause a problem with the foetal heart valves and also a reduction in embryonic fluid around baby. Hope this helps. I was told paracetamol is fine throughout treatment but best to avoid ibuprofen after ET. So as you haven't had your ET yet it is very unlikely to make any difference.
