Sitting in ward after EC. We got 13 eggs in total so I get to keep 7. For anyone worried I was awake but sedated and although felt a few things It didn't hurt just a bit uncomfortable. X

That's great news MrsTM13 another hurdle over! Now make sure you rest up for a day or so and good luck for the ET.

I felt fine after my ET although quite tired on the day. The worst bit was waiting for the phone call the next morning to find out how many had fertilised!

Good luck and best wishes xxx

We are yet to get the process starting and are currently deciding which clinic to get our treatment referred too, it's either CHRG or Hammmersmith. But it's encouraging to read ( for me and the wife) to know I can read personal experiences on this site.

Hi MrsTM13. So pleased that all went well for you, and well done for the amount of eggs retrieved. Rest when you can, and lots to drink, and I hope all goes just as well with the next stage. Diane

Glad it went well. I've found that drinking lots of fluid helped. I also found I had a bit of constipation and its still quite hard and painful to go today (sorry if TMI!) so make sure you have some orange juice in and other fiberous fruits. If you don't mind me asking why are they only allowing you to keep 7 eggs? Why don't they just try and fertilise them all and see which take?

Lynnr54 thanks for the advice.

I'm egg sharing so half are being donated to other people. It's hard in the sense I could end up with no good eggs from the 7 but hopefully I will and others can achieve pregnancy with one of the other 6. X
