Bathing

Hi all this might sound a silly question had ET 4 days ago, I was wondering about having a bath, obviously I know not to have it really hot. But I was wondering if any of you did or didn't while on the 2ww. I ve been showering but do miss having a relaxing bath.

hi i was a real bath fan.. love nothing more than a hot bath. As I know I tend to have them too hot I didn't have any at all - in fact I didn't have any till after my 20 week scan I think. However I am pretty sure they said don't have any during the 2 ww but maybe someone else could confirm that as I cant remember. I just knew I was scared of having them too hot

Hi Katy, I didn't have a bath in my 2ww (was advised not to) I've only had a couple since but a lot cooler than I like xx

Hello. I asked if I could have baths as they calm me down. And you can. Just don't make the water to hot. hope this helps. xx

I personally avoided baths after egg transfer and waited until I was 6 weeks pregnant also have them luke warm now I would usually have very hot baths they should be avoided as your embryo is very sensitive to heat xx

I was advised that the reason you shouldn't have a bath is because it increases your temperature and the embies dont like it. For the same reason you shouldn't exercise to the extent where you break sweat

I was advised not to have a bath as you shouldnt raise your body temperature as embryo doesnt like it
