Hi lovely ladies.

I am 31years old and I've been diagnosed with early menopause. I don't have egg myself that's why I am looking for someone who could help me. I am currently with IVF Hammesmith clinic but they don't have a list of egg donors. My sister is 35years old and she can't help me.

I would greatful if if someone could help me please.

Hi Jackie30. I was sorry to hear that at 31 yrs of age you have suffered an early menopause. It can be quite tough too, trying to find an egg donor. This could prove to be a very lengthy process too, as a potential donor would have to go through many tests before being accepted. Because of this, I was wondering if it would be better to seek treatment from another clinic – just a thought. There are clinics that do have egg donors to offer you, but you would need to do a bit of homework to find one. If you have a look at the following website hfea.gov.uk you will be able to access all clinics in the UK who are licensed to carry out donor egg treatment, and who probably would be able to provide you with a donor or an “egg share” patient. If you are seeking this treatment privately, then hopefully you would be able to find a suitable clinic soon. I do wish you well with all of this, and hope that you eventually find the treatment you are looking for. Diane

Dear Diane.

I`ve tried to contact few hospitals, the thing is I would like yo try on NHS foundation first. If that won't work I would definitely go privately.

The thing is I don't know what NHS hospital would be able to help me. :-( I don't want to give up but my GP is not helpful at all.

Hi. On the NHS you can only be treated by the NHS hospital designated to carry out treatments in your GP postcode. If not available, then you would have to seek private treatment, unless the hospital is willing to "buy in" the treatment you require. I'm afraid there's nothing else I can say on this, except you would have to go back to your GP or wait until the Hammersmith eventually is in a position to help you. Diane

you could contact your local CCG who would be able to tell you which hopsitals your GP (and what used to be PCT) had contracts with. You could then find out which hospitals that had contracts which offered (if any) doner programmes.

Not what you're looking for?
