I hope you’re all doing well! I’m reaching out to seek your experiences with the London Egg Bank.
For a bit of background, my partner and I have been with CRGH for a few years now and have been on their donor list for over a year. We haven’t been very proactive in exploring other clinics because we needed time to come to terms with using donor eggs to create our family.
Last month, we approached IUI in the UK, which came highly recommended to us. However, we found their donor pool to be quite small, which led us to consider other options.
We just registered with the London Egg Bank, where we hope we will have more luck with finding a donor. We have been asked to select a consultant. If you have experience with them, I would greatly appreciate it if you could share your thoughts. If you are comfortable sharing names, may I kindly ask that you send me a private message?
We are very keen to stay in the UK, as we believe it will be easier logistically, and would allow our future child the option to look for their donor when they are older, should they wish to do so.
Thank you so much and sending you lots of positive vibes!

Can I ask did you have success with the eggs I had been toying with uk for ease but based in the north the egg availability with clinics I was considering is poor… so I was contemplating London egg bank but saw quite a few fails on the donor egg page which concerned me…
Really. Everyone I know that has used London's womans bank has had success and have at least one child. I'm based in the North East as used London's Womans clinic in Darlington. For myself personally we bought 6 eggs, received 8 (as they were the last from that donor) all 8 defrosted, 7 fertilised and 4 made it to blastocyst. I had two transferred (one embryo was lagging behind the others so wanted to give it the best chance) and I have one son from that transfer.
Just let me know if you have any other questions.
There is also a Facebook group that I'm happy to share if you would be interested xx
Hi Lou Collier, thank you for your message and offer. I replied yesterday whilst traveling from work, but I must of had bad signal, because there is nothing here :)We booked an appointment in 2weeks time and are so excited. I really hope we will have more luck with them. I am pretty sure I will have some questions by then, again thanks for the offer.
I recently moved to LEB and have had nothing but positive things from them since joining. Currently in my two week wait. If you’d like more info, let me know
