Hi.

I haven't been on here for a while was too painful. But we are thinking of trying ivf again for the 4th time 😃

Just wondered if anyone had ever been to Oxford fertility unit and what there experiences were?

Thankyou. Xxx

Hi. I just had my 1st cycle at Oxford Fertility Unit - and I am now nearly 15 weeks pregnant. Which is a shock as I am 39, stage 4 endometriosis, adenomyosis and a very low AMH (egg reserve).

So, I'd of course recommend them. There were no glitches, all appts went smoothly.

I had a terribly painful embryo transfer and think i had a trainee initially, which I was furious about - but then another nurse took over when I was in too much pain. The pain was likely from my adhesions, and my multiple surgeries and i have recto vaginal endo - so I think pain would have been likely anyway - but nonetheless I should not have had an inexperienced nurse initially. Just v v lucky for me the other took over.

All the best, but yes, I would recommend.

Hi Scared87. I had my Ivf at Oxford and they were brilliant. All my appointments when to plan. The staff were really supportive and friendly, put you completely at ease. Egg collection was painless. Had a total meltdown when I came round as I'd convinced myself there would be no eggs so when the nurse told me they'd got 8 I burst into tears but he was so understanding and lovely. I had no problems with the Embryo transfer either. And am now 19 weeks pregnant 😊. So I'd highly recommend them hunni.

Good luck xx

If this is your 4th go I'd strongly suggest you look at results for your age group and what you feel they can do differently to your previous 3 attempts. ARGC for example has a satellite clinic you can use in Oxford (they're expensive but have the best results in the UK).
