Hi has anyone ever been told by the GP that your BMI has to be a maximum of 30 before they can send your application off to be referred to the hospital for fertility treatment?

In my area your BMI has to be between 19-30 otherwise they can’t refer you x
If you get to the clinic and it's over 29.9 they won't do anything and tell you to come back when you're below that xxx
Hello staybo it’s not just the nhs ones Hun iam going to a private one and they said the same to me if my BMI is more then 30 they will not go ahead. Lucky I was only 26BMI. but all the best u can go ahead with it Hun xx
I was referred to a fertility consultant via the NHS with a body mass index of 39. However, I have been refused IVF treatment via the NHS due to my very low AMH and BMI. I am now going private to the Agora in Brighton and there cut off point is 35.
Yep same at my clinic I had to be below a bmi of 30. X
Yes I had to be below 30 for nhs referral xx
Yep My bmi had to be <30 to be referred. Was told that if I got weighed at the funding appointment and my bmi was over, I'd have to wait a min of 6mths to reapply! The consultant also said it was a good idea to be a few pounds under the cut off incase the scales measured slightly different to the ones used at home. I had to lose 2.5 stone but made sure I lost another 7lb for good measure!
Yep same with me in Scotland had to lose 2 stone and get bmi below 30 currently doing 1st round iui x
