We had our consultation after our first failed cycle of IVF even though we couldn't get definitive answers as to why it never worked the bottom line is all looked good however it was unfortunate.
So we are taking the time to get over this loss and prepare for our next round in March. We have been advised this time to go for ICSI even though I was 2 eggs at 8 cell split blastocyst stage. Am 40 now has any one else been advised this process?
Hello. Basically every other procedure will be the same as before, they may change doses of drugs etc. but it will be the same. The difference is what they do in the lab with the egg and sperm. In Ivf they put the two in a dish and let them do the rest and fertilise themselves. In icsi they take the sperm and actually put it with the egg to fertilise. In my case (we had icsi from the start) it made the embryos better quality. Hope this has helped In some way. Take care and lots of love. X
We had icsi from the start because we were told it was better than ivf as my husband had poor swimmers .and it worked first time . Please don't get despondent i know how you feel as I've had 3 unexplained miscarriages before i started this process.good luck and I'll sprinkle baby dust over you xxx. P.s have you tried yoga and acupuncture I hear they can help too
