Good news Magic - this next 3 weeks will feel like 3 years but hang on in there, while your test is still positive, you need to be positive too. I had to pay nearly £200 to get a HcG test done at a private hospital as we were with a clinic abroad and they requested it. It was worth it for me as I've had 4 natural mc's and a chemical pg so needed some reassurance - but it's often unnecessary and most clinics in UK don't seem to bother.

Keep everything crossed - you are pregnant and there's no reason why you won't stay that way xx

I think I'd just keep taking the test but it sounds positive to me. We have to scan on 15 days and then again on 22 days and then have a scan on 35. Trying to keep positive but also not get my hopes up. Hope it all goes well and as Treacle says maybe you can pay for the HCG if you really can't wait it might not be so much here? xxx

We didn't have blood test at our clinic, had a scan at 7 weeks so had the 3 wk wait. Just try and keep positive. I only did the one test on test day. I figured that testing doesn't change the outcome. We didn't hear the heartbeat then and 3 scans later at 14 weeks still haven't. But have seen it every scan and watched it beating away. I have got midwife appt in two wks and she said she should be able to pick it then. My friend offered me a doppler but thought if I couldn't find it I would panic so not using it. Everyone is different tho. I am full of worry and anxiety but just trying to keep positive that after nearly 4 years we have been blessed. Good luck and keep up the positive thinking xx

We didn't have blood tests either, I feel your pain. You just don't believe it as no one else has confirmed it, but its real! :-) my scan is in Monday @7+3 and have had morning (all day) sickness for past week, even so I still cant relax until scan. Keep us updated on how you cope over next few weeks and Keep Believin' x

Thanks girls you've made me feel a bit more relaxed. It's crazy isn't it how we think once we get that BFP we are there but don't realise it just takes on a whole new stage of stress and worry ! I am going to try and be as positive as possible and as you've said keep believing !! As far as symptoms go I had everything going but all seems to have calmed down except occasional mild cramping. Has anyone else had this happen? Keep going everyone eyes on the prize ;-) xxxx

That's the right attitude magic. We all go completely neurotic about every twinge and worse case scenario because getting a BFP is precious to us. If it was a natural pregnancy you would be jumping about with joy and no worries and would have to wait for 12 weeks for a scan. You got your BFP so you are 100% up the duff. So relax and enjoy all the twinges as they are normal. Good luck for your scan. X
