On a 17 month waiting list for my ivf , Feels so long away , has anyone had this wait and been seen before 17months
I haven't heard of this before but I guess it all depends on your care trust, how much funding they have available and how many apply. I was lucky in that once I got funding approved I started pretty much straight away. Interested to see others experiences. Is there anything else you can try in the meantime?
Yeh they take it from first seen but works out 17momths have to wait now ,
And nope just waiting get ivf started xx

My list was 22 months. We got our first apt after 20 months. But we had been asked if we wished to change to another areas waiting list.
Yeh think I was 22months but they took it from was first seen so leavese with 17months to go, yeh a signed a form saying a would travel to edingbrugh if space came available xx
That the choice I had but decided against that as it would add too much time into our travelling as we live south of Glasgow.
Give the staff at GRI a call and see where you are on the list. I started doin that from middle of last year. Fingers crossed maybe will meet you some day in waiting room.

We had our first cycle at end of last year which resulted in no fertilisation. We back at GRI next month to start our other cycle. To get icsi this time.
I'm in peterborough. You get seen here virtually straight away. My friend was referred for IVF in October. She began her treatment in jan. Could you try a different area. 17 months seems so long. It's unfair to have a lottery postcode.
I just called says on list from July last year , and the waiting list sitting at 12months the now xx
We started investigation during July, we found out we need IVF in November now we have to wait 5 months until we get our next appointment. It's def a waiting game

I have just received my letter to say I have reached the top of the list after a 10 month wait At glasgow so u shouldn't be too long hopefully x

I was put on list April/May last year so expected 24month wait but was told in November waiting list was 18/24months so expected November this year earliest but got letter today n first app is 5th march for bloods etc then 27th to discuss treatment

I have been on the list for what seems like years. I went on last May and have been told it will be nov 2014 before I could be seen. The wait I'm finding is the worst thing in the world. I hope you don't have to wait too much longer. xxx
from my first appointment with the doctor about having issues its been 2 years and 8 months and now ive started IVF on nhs with my first injections today! Fingers crossed you wont need it and will conceive whilst your waiting
