Embryos
hi Danielle
You have to have so much patience dont you! I went to have my medicated FET a few weeks ago and it got cancelled because my womb lining didnt get thick enough. Its almost as if my body was working against the drugs. However, my dr has monitored me naturally this month to see if I can have a natural FET. Turns out, my womb lining is fine without any drugs! Just one last scan a week after ovulation to check the lining again so I will definately know for sure next week. Cant wait to actually have the transfer my ivf was in August so im fed up waitin. What dates your lap?
Hi crystal I no its annoying! My Lap is end of May. Feels like im going mad waiting its just I wont have any embryos transferred till they get rid of this tube with fluid in it. Its my choice to have it removed so I guess I just have to wait like everybody else.
My dr said your embryos are precious so you are better off giving them best opportunity then rushing. The hard bits over its just a matter of transferring them in and out of the 7 you have, im pretty sure at least one of them will result in a baby! You would kick yourself if you didnt have the tube removed then done the transfer and have it fail cause you will have used up an embryo without knowing if it is the tune geting in the way! X
Hi Danielle
I'm a Laparoscopy pro, I've had 3 now!! Hopefully the procedure will be quick and simple and achieve what you want it to. Just look after yourself afterwards and don't underestimate the time you might need with your feet up - although its classed as a small, non-invasive keyhole procedure, they are still delving into your body and filling it with gas to do what they need to do! I tried to go back really soon after one of mine and gave myself a kidney infection! Buy in some peppermint tea and cordial if you don't mind the taste as it helps with the gas! Other than that, its just sore in my experience, not really painful, you'll just need to use the excuse to catch up on films and magazines!
You're doing absolutely the right thing to get your body in the best state for the transfer and if I remember right, you have some great quality blasts sat waiting for you - theres no reason why they can't implant if they have a good home to rest in!
The end of May will soon be here x
Hi Treacle yeah im just trying to do everything I can before I have the next transfer. I am convinced the IVF didn't work cause the water fluid in my tube, its only small that's why they didn't remove it in 2004 but when I spoke to my clinic about my concerns, they said I was absolutely right about the fluid in the tube so that's why im getting it removed so my chances of IVF will return to normal. xx
