Hi, I went to Hammersmith Hospital for a second IVF treatment but they told me that I can get this new Kisspeptin that is free of charge. Me and my husband were wondering has anyone else got this done. And should we go for it. Its still at studying stage. Someone please help me on what should I do?
Is anyone else getting IVF treament u... - Fertility Network UK
Is anyone else getting IVF treament using Kisspeptin injection?
Ive never heard of it.. i would ask lots of questions such as.. have other couples used this method and have they been successful and also are there any side effects etc..
The new technique uses the natural hormone "kisspeptin" to stimulate egg development instead of the usual fertility drugs. The treatment reduces the risk of women developing a potentially life threatening condition called ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS), which can be triggered by the high levels of hormones used to induce egg development in patients. I believe that it is still in the experimental stage – hence the trials being offered. However, the clinic is getting good results from its use, so you would need to discuss it further with them. Kind regards. Diane
