Day 1 of IVF injections! Anyone else?

Woo hoo! We're off! Just done the dreaded 1st injection. It was fine really but just getting your head around it is the main issue!!!

Hi I'm new to all of this and I started my first round of IVF on Tuesday this week. It's all a bit overwhelming but so exciting! Wishing you all the best and the injections are one of the hardest things for me. The first injection on Tuesday was with the nurse, the rest have been by myself and had to take a few breaths to physc myself up otherwise I would just chicken out ! But I am doing it so that good news. We go for our next scan today so fingers crossed my body is responding to the drugs ! Xxx

I started on Wednesday, and after a rocky start and a few calls to the nurse because I felt like I was injecting wrong I feel like now on day 3 I've got it under control! My next blood test is Monday so I'm hoping it'll all be going well to go to the next level

Oh well done. Good luck with the bloods on Monday. I haven't been told when I have to have bloods - just got a scan in 11 days time. 🤔 It's a very new exciting and scary journey isn't it!!!

I've seen lots of people saying they have scans first, but I think mines a bit different because I have about a thousand blood tests and probably only one scan (to check if I'm ready for egg collection). But I guess if that scan says no there's another. I actually find this whole process so confusing! Basically the nurses tell me what to do and when to do it otherwise I'd have no idea!

I'm going to hop in here too! I started my first injection on Tuesday. It's my first cycle of IVF. I'm on Menopur and j start Cetrotide on Saturday. My next scan is Monday.

Injections have been okay so far but yesterday's hurt a little more than usual - my husband said it looked like I went in at a funny angle.

I'm on Buserelin until my 'day 0 scan' and then onto Menopur.

It's good to hear from other lovely ladies like yourself who are starting their IVF at the same time. It'll be comforting to hear how are journey goes.

So got back from my scan today and the dr said she can see 14 follicles which is great news ! One already at 11mm which is great. I'm currently on Ovaleap which isn't too bad, I have been given cetrodine ready for when the dr tells me I need them. Next scan is Monday! Good luck to everyone ! Xx

Hi Peppy26, I’m in the 1st Ivf cycle too. Started to inject supercur about 2 weeks ago and going to have my 1st menopur injection tomorrow. Wishing best of luck for everyone 🙂😇

Thank you honey. I’m very excited, everything looks real now 🙂 I had a couple of days of having headache and feeling a bit dizzy tho; it might be the side effects of supercur. Is yours supercur as well? xx
