I am in my second trimester and I feel like my healthy eating has gone out the window of late.
I have had aversion to vegetables and all I want to eat is carbs (pasta, pizza, bread), sweet things and crisps! Finding it hard to control myself! I’m hoping it’s a phase and will pass soon! Feel bad I’m not giving my baby all the good nutrients…
Anyone else experiencing this? X

Exactly the same! I can’t even look at salad or veg and just want sweet things, cheese and carbs. Hoping it will pass soon x I try to add in some healthy things and keep a balance where I can but it’s tough.
And every day is different. What tastes good today will likely be awful tomorrow. X I try to cut up salad leaves really small to add into stuff and where I can sprinkle seeds onto stuff. Luckily I have not gone off fruit.
I’m in my first trimester and living on coke and crisps! I never drink coke usually and have quite a healthy diet! Just the thought of some foods is enough to make me vomit! I’m hoping it’ll pass soon xxx
I'm the same!! The baby I'm growing is pretty much made out of sugar. Its all I can keep down and usually I'm pretty well balanced in my eating. I've developed a real taste for carbonated drinks which (bar gin and tonic) is something I never have normally.
I couldn’t look at a vegetable until gone week 14! Most food tasted like total crap and all I could eat was bread, cheese, chocolate and ice lollies. I hope it passes for you, but don’t worry about eating a healthy diet if you can’t. Major food aversion seems to be very very common and there doesn’t seem to be any widespread damage caused by it!
Yep same! Living on marmite on toast atm. I usually eat salads, veg, steamed fish and exercise a lot, but early pregnancy nausea really hit me hard and it’s taken a while to even have an appetite and not have to lie down for hours during the day, so I’m just going with it 🤞
I’m 6 weeks on and although my meals are balanced still I feel the need to eat very often and crisps, which I’d not eaten in a year + are number one on my cravings with oranges. 🍊 The oranges now give me teeth sensitivity 🫠 so I allow crisps once a day… I think it’s just hard.
Try using sensitive teeth toothpaste, it makes a difference. It is hard, and think for me as I was so strict for a year before my BFP that I’ve also almost let loose. I am where I can trying to control and be moderate but it is challenging!
