hi everyone, I’m wondering if you could share your experience of feeling movement. I’m 18 weeks and I feel little kicks every now and then. They started feeling more regular.. Then the silent day like today which kicks off the googling..
Is it normal to have a day or two without feeling anything at this stage? And when did it become a regular thing for you?
Thank you in advance for your help x

Hello. 26 weeks first timer here. I have had similar days as you experienced, and ended up popping into my maternity triage who were amazing. They have told me not to expect regular movements until week 28, but if at any time I am worried and feel no movement for 3-4 hrs plus, I am welcome there.Hope this helps.
Hi, I'm 19 weeks and 1 day pregnant and I'm going through the same situation most days I feel very small kicks and strong flutters and some days I don't feel much so I think it must be normal, with my first two kids who are now 22 and 20 years old I didn't feel any movements until I was 22 weeks x
Thank you and your very welcome, I hope everything is going well for you, I still get anxious on days I don't feel much like today but I'm pretty sure it's normal x
Yes, it's ok to feel not much movement for a day. They should however, start to get stronger as you progress in weeks. Hope this helps. Wish you a healthy pregnancy. x
completely normal- I’m 24 weeks now and some days still stronger than other days. I think it’s after 28 weeks that you should start to notice them regularly. But my midwife today said not every baby has a pattern and it’s more just noticing movements every day after that point. Some people don’t even feel movement till 23/24 weeks or later so at 18 weeks def don’t worry, they’re still so tiny they’ll have just turned into a hiding position.
I didn’t feel movements really until week 20-22, but they were not something I could really “track” until much later on. I also went to maternity triage once around week 26 after not feeling anything for quite some time, which felt “unusual “ to me. All was well after monitoring, but I felt very welcome and they said I had done the right thing, so if ever worried, just contact your midwife or maternity service - I am sure they will be happy to advice!
Congratulations on your pregnancy and wish you all the best!! 🧡🥰
I never really had a fixed pattern, and all the way to delivery I had some days when I didn't feel her as much. It's so stressful... I actually went in to the maternity unit 3 times in total to check movements, when it was really playing on my mind. That was at 20, 24 and 35 weeks. But at 18 weeks there was no reliable movement each day, just little flutters here and there x
