Cold i can't get rid of - any advice?

darkbuthappyplace profile image

Hi there, i'm 33 weeks pregnant today and have had a bad cold for bout 10 days now. What is worrying me is that it doesn't seen to be getting better. I'm completely wiped out from it and don't seem to be improving fast. I spoke to the midwife earlier this week and she told me they wouldn't do anything. I feel baby is ok, i can still feel kicking etc. Is there anything anyone has done to feel better faster. Should i be seeing my GP if this goes on for longer? xx

Might be an idea to see GP .Meantime make sure drinking plenty of fluids - if throat sore try honey & lemon hot drink - if nose blocked try a steam inhalation [ hot water in a bowl towel over your head & breath in the steam ] Rest and take things easy

Hope you feel better soon

this happened to me about the same time. It was a cold originally but then turned into a bacterial infection. My GP gave me antibiotics and it cleared it up. I think it’s worth seeing your GP and seeing what they say. Hope you feel better soon!
