we had our dating scan today, baby is measuring 12+5! None of it feels real still but seeing your lovely comments on my last post has helped massively. Since we also had the nipt we’ve found out what we’re having, a little girl! My placenta is to the front so Dr said it will be later than others until I can feel her kick. I’ve booked another scan for 16 weeks for reassurance.
Hopefully the coming weeks will bring some joy and less stressing about it all, here’s to hoping.

If not too scary, I actually used an online miscarriage calculator tool a lit around that time - seeing how small the risk really was, and seeing it shrink further each week really helped me. But it's very hard. Around 14 weeks I was worried my cervix might be weak, without any real reason to think this! But it's hard when you get things stuck in your mind isn't it 😢 xx
exactly!! The midwife said when they took my bloods that the first tri is so hard cause everything is developing and being made etx and now the body is growing it all, I mentioned this in my dating scan and the nurse did not put my mind at ease and at all and said how much more she’s doing etx which has made me freak the hell out! I think sick babies don’t grow, but I know of people who lost theirs at 20 weeks and am petrified!!

I also have an anterior placenta and def felt movements a little later so had a 16 week scan. When they do start though I felt them as strongly as I did with a posterior placenta so you do get the reassurance xx

We’re also having a little girl and just had a reassurance scan at 16 weeks this morning 🥰 Also have an anterior placenta so can feel very little so far. Hopefully soon x
Congratulations!!! I also have a little girl and anterior placenta. I started feeling kicks around 19 weeks and my god she doesn't ever stop now 🤣🤣 It helps so much, you're doing so much well and each passing week gets a touch easier in my experience although I've had plenty of anxiety wobbles! I just book in for a scan if I feel I need reassurance 💕
