I've had a bad stomach bug since Tuesday evening and has anyone else found that having a stomach bug while pregnant knocks them back into a state of super bad persistent nausea??
Mine was starting to get better before I got ill and now I find it's worse than ever, especially in the evening. But now today it's also morning and I find I'm almost unable to function today for it.
Makes it hard to know if it's the stomach bug still (haven't thrown up since early Wednesday) or pregnancy or both! I do have cyclizine tablets which a doctor has given me but I haven't resorted to trying them yet as I keep hoping it will regulate back.
Has anyone else found it harder to get past the symptoms of stomach bug when pregnant??

Hello, yes I had a stomach bug from my little one at 9 weeks pregnant. I was already suffering with morning sickness but it carried on until week 11 quite badly. I saw the doc and as it was just vomitting she said it was likely more the pregnancy (my son had diarrhoea and vomitting ) rather than the bug.
Hopefully the end is in sight for you 🤞🏽 It’s not far away now the sickness has stopped. I’m 15 weeks now and still have occasional nausea quite badly but no longer vomitting 🎉 xx
I had a bad throat and cold for weeks when I was pregnant, just wouldn’t shift, I had sickness throughout but covid made it worse, oh and then there was the salmonella which was worse than labour pains 😂
I had gastroenteritis at 16 weeks pregnant and it was awful. I vomited for the first day and then had chronic diarrhoea which lasted for 10 days. I’d also just passed the morning sickness and nausea phase when I caught it from my daughter. Apparently pregnant women can be more prone to bugs taking hold for longer. Hope you start to feel better soon. X
