Hi lovelies,

I hope everyone’s pregnancies are going well and you’re not too knackered!

Our little girl is now 4 months old so just dropping in in case anyone has any questions about pregnancy/birth/first months with a little one. Happy to share my experience if needed!

Xxx

Hey 👋 Oh look at those cheeks, she’s adorable! 🥰 How are you doing? I had my 20 week scan last week and all went well. So so relieved and we’re having a girl! Still a way to go but feels good to be past the half way mark xx

Hi Solly, so lovely to hear from you. Omigosh! Half way already? That’s amazing. Hope the pregnancy hasn’t been too uncomfortable so far? So exciting to have found out you’re having a little girl!! 🧡

Crazy isn’t it?! Can’t say it’s been a breeze this time but coming out the other end of “morning” sickness now, and very grateful to be where we are! Hope you’re getting some sleep and lots of cuddles xx

Oh Solly! That’s such a long time to suffer with morning sickness. You poor thing. So glad you’re coming out the other side. Xxx ps getting a surprising amount of sleep atm but just nervously waiting for the 4 month sleep regression to kick in 😅

34 weeks! Only 2 weeks and 2 days of work left now. They did a mini baby shower today which was super sweet 💞🐣 It was nice to have that time out of work as a team.

Ah lovely! It's so nice having the time off work pre-birth. Enjoy! Xxx

Aw, wow! So close 🤍

I packed for an elective c-section but in terms of things that I found super useful for myself, I packed;

- 2/3 night dresses (sized up)

- Nursing bras + with Nursing pads

- Big M&S knickers (sized up)

- Period knickers (the Tena ones … actually found them comfortable even thought they’re like nappies 🤣)

- 3/4 sleeved dressing gown (Seraphine have lovely ones)

- Best face cleanser and moisturiser

- Water bottle with straw

- Hair band and bobbles

- Pillow must (home comforts)

- Snacks (although I really just craved grapes)

- Small compact mirror with lights and easy makeup (yep, I needed to feel human…)

- Toothbrush and toothpaste (and yep, you’ll always have time to brush your teeth)

- Going home outfit (Seraphine lounge set)

And for the babies;

- Multiple baby vests & zipped rompers

- Nappies

- Baby hats (cotton)

- Breathable blanket (white company have the perfect ones)

- comforter

- snuz cloud (for white noise)

- Cotton swaddle blanket

- Cardigans for over rompers

- Colestrum

- Going home outfit although mine ended up wearing a romper as we stayed extra nights so I was running thin on baby clothes!

- Feeding pillow

- Pram suit

I think that’s most things. Best of luck to you … such a precious time xx

Thank you for the list!

The list above pretty much covers everything! We did find we only really needed lots of baby sleep suits not just at the hospital but for the first 2 months. Far too tired and busy to dress her in anything resembling an “outfit” and they sick up a lot so you want easy things to quickly change them into. The zip up sleepsuits are the easiest. It’s also great to have spares of crib sheets at home for the same reason.

I also found swaddling with a blanket quite difficult and would probably bring some of the ready made swaddles to the hospital if I were to do it again!

Best of luck lovely. So exciting that it’s coming up soon xxx

congratulations! She’s gorgeous! I hope you’re managing to get some sleep xx

all good with me… what I can say is it’s probably feeling hard right now but once you pass 6 months and get the sleeping nailed it gets so much easier and you ease into loving it more xxxx

Redsequin in reply to Positivechangeplease

Oh, thanks for saying that. She sleeps pretty well at night but it takes hours to put her down and she absolutely won't go to sleep before 11 🥴 xxx

oh no 11 is late! We did sleep training at 5 months and it’s the best thing we did. She’s very good at sleeping through now even when she’s teething… no calpol needs to be administered. She sticks to her routine now at 9 months - 20 min morning nap at 9.30, 2 hour nap at lunch from 12.30 (sometimes wakes early but is generally fine) - and goes to sleep 6.45. Usually sleeps till 6.30 (occasionally early and occasionally our aim of 7am) but it’s very manageable. All because we did the Ferber method sleep training which was hard for 2 nights and took a total 4 but it worked for her.

but just so you know smooth sleep definitely got better with crawling from tiring herself out.

Hey, so nice to see your gorgeous wee one looking so cute! My wee one is now 14 weeks. How fast the time is going🙃.
