hi!

This is very normal I have had symptoms since 6 weeks. I'm 9 weeks now I'm of work for a whilst till 12 weeks hoping it will go away since the placenta takes over ... It is horrible 🤢 I have 2 kids to look after whilst hubby is at work so it's super hard. With my 2 I never had nausea so this pregnancy is hard.
I had it from bang on 6 weeks with my first, up until he was born, and 5 weeks to around 25+ with this one and I'm still on maybe two sickness tablets a day and it's eased. I was off work from around 3 months for 5 months it was so bad 🤮
I hate to say but yep mine started early. All the hormones and medication on top of growing a little human just knocks some people for six 🥴. Do the best you can, rest and stay hydrated. Always speak to your doctor if your managing it xx
I wasn’t expecting to feel so rough! I feel so lightheaded and dizzy! And don’t get me started on the sore boobs already! X
We are at a similar stage I think - I have no nausea, but light headed and very very tired......
Hope it improves for you...
For my last pregnancy, I was full of beans after the 2nd trimester....I know that might seem like ages away
🤪
I have my first scan on the 3rd of august where I’ll be 6weeks! So nervous and just trying to take it a day at a time. I’m really tired too, especially at work I feel like I just need to constantly be sleeping!
We are 5th August....going very slowly....x
It really is! I’m hoping I’ll relax a bit after the first scan but I probably won’t! Just want it to come round quicker so I can put my mind at ease
It does help to make it more real - but I cannot promise you will relax 🤣 for our first we didn't relax until she was in our arms x
Yeah I think I’ll be like that too! It’s a whole other minefield when you finally get that positive! You can never fully relax! Xx
Let me know how you get on. It is a beautiful but scary time this first scan. Fingers crossed for us both! X
Mine started the same time! I’m a teacher and I was on a school trip in Harry Potter World and felt terrible suddenly. I’m 16.5 weeks now and still have it but it’s nowhere near as bad as it was. Are you prone to motion sickness anyway? As they say that you’re more likely to get it if you are. I always have been. Prepare for it to get worse. Everyone swears by ginger but my saviour has been almonds. I honestly take them everywhere and just have to munch on a handful for it to ease off for a little while. It is a catch 22 situation tbh as it does show baby is well and growing so that will hopefully make you feel better. Yey to bring 5 weeks! Xx
I get really bad motion sickness which is why it makes sense that I feel worse when travelling! I’ve always been travel sick but only on long journeys but now even 5 mins in the car has me feeling sick! X
Ginger is amazing for motion sickness and I found it also helped with morning sickeness. Fever tree ginger beer was best, and I also made some extra gingery biscuits to keep in the freezer so I could have one when needed. My sickness started bang on 6 weeks and continued to about 25 weeks so unfortunately, as others have commented, it can go on a long time. However, I found the dizziness was more shortlived, perhaps because I got better at managing it. If you wake in the night feeling sick, keep something starchy and non-greasy by the bed to munch on at 3am (I had a bag of little salted pretzels - 2 or 3 were perfect to stave off sickness). Hope you feel better soon - if it gets too much, see the doc for some nausea meds. xx
