I’ve had a lot to deal with during this pregnancy with being ill, my mum going through cancer treatment and nursing our pooch through cancer not knowing how long we have left with him. Alongside getting ready for little miss to arrive 💗
I have a bit of anxiety for the unknown but that’s it. I am just so excited to meet her and hold her and get to know everything about her.
Literally just trying to get some comfortable sleep and keep her safe until next week.
Everyone and their mother keep asking “are you nervous” “bet your so nervous” “it’s going to hit you like a ton of bricks” to which I’ve replied……we’ve had over 8yrs to get ready for this little miracle we will relish in whatever gets thrown our way!
I guess the nerves will come before the c section but until then I am really quite calm 🥰

Ahhhh I’m so excited for you!!! ♥️♥️♥️ Is it next week then?? You have had a lot to deal with not only during pregnancy but before that. I can imagine you are as ready as anyone can be! I hope you update us once everything settles. Sending big hugs your way and enjoy every minute of it!
Hi Fudge. How amazing is that! A daughter in a week's time. You are going to know love like you have never known before, so look forward to the birth. It is the hardest day's work you ever do, but you get the greatest reward.... no need to stress. Diane
Best of luck Fudgy 😃 I feel exactly the same!I’m waiting for labour or c-section, whichever comes first. Get some sleep and enjoy your last few days with hubby…soon chaos will reign and you will love every moment of it xxHoping your mom is well on her way to recovery and thinking of your poor pooch too!
I don't think you need to be nervous and it's probably just something people say, and really they mean are you excited. I only really got nervous the night before the section as it all suddenly felt real - I ended up randomly making masses of jam at midnight to try and to calm myself down (tip: do not make masses of jam, it does not help and just makes everything sticky, plus you can't eat it before the op). The day of the op and the section itself was super calm and it all went smoothly, and when they hand over your little one it's just incredible (and the cup of tea they give you in recovery is the best you'll ever have and it's just bliss somehow )
I now realise going on about jam and tea in my reply makes me sound like a very dedicated WI member - I just figured the jam reaction may have been some weird nesting instinct gone awry 🤗
Hi lovely! How exciting for you both. I was the same as you I didn't have nerves at all. I think some of it had to do with the fact I had locked the thoughts of labour in a box to the back of my mind haha and was just enjoying being pregnant and feeling so lucky to know we were meeting our baby boy at the end. 39weeks I had a scan and they booked me in for a C-section that afternoon for the following day. So maybe I didn't have time to think about it but even at the hospital I was really excited and everyone was so lovely.I honestly had a positive c section experience and was out the next day. Stock up on peppermint tea. We got it in the hospital but for me the wind cramps after were unreal once home.
I’ve kind of done the same I have no plans on going into spontaneous labour 🥴. I have a date and that’s all I am aiming for lol Probably best you didn’t have much time to think about it tbh.
Wow that’s so close now! I think people like us who had to fight to even get there have a different prospective compared to others, what is a c-section when you have gone through so much?! Having said that anxiety will probably kick in soon 🤣
How insensitive! On the contrary I was thrown “how exciting” although for some reason I wasn’t. I think it was the expectation of not knowing what would happen. I never got nervous I just felt ready when the time came. You’ll be fine, and it’s much better knowing what’s going to happen. Xx
Thankyou 💗 honestly I just feel at peace up to now!xx
No need to be nervous, Some helpful comments there 🙄! People seem to say the wrong thing so often. It’s is undeniably life changing but every experience is unique. Aside from the baby list , Make sure you stock up borrow buy things for yourself too !! Bluetooth headphones where top of my list, lots of lovely snacks cereal bars, and freezer meals download podcasts etc! A water botttle you can open with one hand etc. so exciting xxx
