I have a frozen embryo transfer coming up in October, fresh embryo transfer failed back in February. I am looking for some advise on what to expect and ways I can best prepare myself for it ♡

Frozen Embryo Transfer
Ok, so they gave me a choice of whether or not to have an injection On day 21 to stop me ovulating, without it there was a 2% chance I would and therefore the cycle would be cancelled. I went for it but the downside was it delayed my period by almost a week.
On day 3 of my period (I think) I started taking oestrogen tablets for two weeks which shut down your own hormones and help you build a lining, they did a scan after two weeks to check thickness, a few days later I started progesterone pessaries as well and then about 5 days after that they did the transfer.
You keep taking the tablets and pessaries for 49 days after transfer if you get a positive result. I was surprised how long the frozen cycle took to be honest but it was mainly due to the injection, I know someone who didn’t have it and she didn’t ovulate anyway as the tablets should stop it so I guess see what your doctor says.
In preparation I was already doing gentle exercise and relatively healthy eating but other than that not much you can do. Is that kind of what you were looking for? x
Yes thank you ♡ xx
No problem. Let me know if there’s anything else. Message any time. 😊 x
Thank you we just feel a bit in the dark with the plan!! Only been told to call when september period starts so wasn't clear if It was artificial cycle or natural cycle from reading information sent in the post 🙈
Yeah our clinic like to withhold information till you need to use it don’t they! I didn’t know they offered natural cycles to be fair. They never even discussed it with us. 🤷🏻♀️
I'm just finding it all a bit confusing 😕
I felt exactly the same but it makes sense as you start to go through it. If you don’t have the injection you would start treatment during your next period so not long to wait! I guess even on your fresh cycle it was probably confusing and you worked it out so remember that. Many less needles this time! I’ll look and see if I have my timescales paper work and send you a pic if I find it!
I have my FET coming up in a couple of weeks! They have me on estrogen and thats about it take your prenatal pills! Let your body do it’s thing! Baby dust !!
Hi luv. A big day is coming, right?
You could get prepared for your ET the best when behaving as if you're already prego
Eat well, sleep well, rest well. Take your folic acid daily. Remember about the vitamins. Do not overread the boards - we all are different, so are our cycles.
Keeping my fingers crossed for you x
