Hello the fertility network uk forum on here has been a great help to me during my ivf. Its members are a bit more active than on here you might benefit from joining it too.
This is my first time writing in one of these communities too. I’m due to start my injections tomorrow, I’m on a short protocol. How are you feeling about everything?
Natabelle, I hope your process goes well. For the IVF process, it is really important that you remain stress-free. A lot of women do yoga in order to stay relaxed. I think that will help you in the busy routine. Best of luck for the IVF! Make sure to visit a doctor that is experienced and knows what he/she is doing. Also, during IVF eat a healthy diet and take extreme care of yourself. Do keep us updated.
Infertility has affected many people living in past. I am glad that such wonderful treatments like surrogacy and IVF have been introduced. In surrogacy treatment with the help of the third party, many people are having their own biological child. This is a wonderful thing to do. All countries should make these treatments legal. It will bring happiness in the life of the infertile individual.
Unfortunately there are not so many countries allowing surrogacy. Others don't ban it, but have some strict restrictions. For example, all states in the US have their own surrogacy law. Some let this option for married heterosexual couples, others for single people. In some states the surrogate has standing right to keep the baby after delivery if she changes her mind. Then you'll have to go to the court to adopt your baby (if it's still possible). There might be so many complications regarding surrogacy process if the country's choice is made in haste. One should be aware of all possible outcomes. Sometimes people have been successfully through surrogacy. But actually cannot take their kids home 'cause their native country doesn't let them in. We were through surrogacy in ukraine, are parenting our precious Laria now. So may give some useful hints on the process and clinic choice there. At the moment I totally agree with you, surrogacy may be the true blessing.
Hey, don't worry. I have read many stories regarding IVF on many forums. Much of the stories were very successful. Don't get stressed. I hope that You will also achieve your goals. Managing the IVF and job at the same time is really a hard thing. But, I am glad to know that you are trying and struggling. Infertility is the worst feeling a lady can ever have. My friend has also faced this situation but she never stopped trying, even though she failed so many times. Despite her struggle for many years, now she is able to conceive naturally. All this happened due to her continuous struggle. I also advise you keep this in mind and never give up your struggle. Wishing you the best of luck.
Hey honey. I've been through IVF, it's not a problem. If you have any questions. Im here. Just stay positive. And stay strong. It will be alright. We're here for you.
Well, can relate a little bit. I'm personally an IVF candidate later this month at a center abroad in Kiev. I'm also a teacher and I work longer hours. So, yeah! It's really tough to coup...I know well, still has to go. Can't waste anymore years. Just need things to work for me. So, yeah! Stay blessed! Keep it up! Baby dust towards you already... Hope you conceive soon.
May I ask you, where are you planning to undergo treatments. If it's somewhere abroad then you probably you'll need this piece of info for more insight. before the date of the initial consultation they'll send you the list of required documents. Those are more likely to be transvaginal ultrasound check results, breast ultrasound check results or mamography results, chest X-ray (for both you and your partner/dh), doctor’s certificate that you’re healthy enough to carry out a baby and that pregnancy is not prohibited for you, sperm count (if avaliable). Then you and your dh come to the clinic to undergo the required tests: blood tests for both, pap smear, sperm count. The doctor will study your medical records. Doc will perform transvaginal ultrasound check and evaluate your chances to successfully accomplish the program. Doc will make the decision whether the program can be performed and then authorize it. Since that you’ll be allowed to sign the agreements and you'll be able to make the 1st payment. The doctor will explain you the treatment plan. The clinic will also suggest on medications needed for your subsequent stimulation protocol. Then you'll follow the treatment plan. You'll make the needed ultrasound checks according to the protocol of stimulation and synchronization. When the date of your 2nd visit is defined you'll need to come for the embryo transfer. Be ready to spend up to 7-10 days. After the embryo transfer is performed you will be given the protocol to follow and medications according to the protocol. Those meds are intended to increase the chances to achieve and successfully support pregnancy. In 2 weeks after embryo transfer you'll need to make the blood test for HCG level in your blood. Their obligations are considered to be fulfilled after the pregnancy reaches the term of 12 weeks.
