I'm 40 (a very fit health 40, most people think I'm in my 20s haha) and had the embryo transfer yesterday. It was day 5 and the embryologist said they weren't quite developed enough but they were still showing signs of developing so they put 2 in. Does anyone have any experience of this? I'm concerned that they weren't ready enough as they weren't at blastocyst stage. Trying to be positive though 🤞🤞🙏🙏

Embryos not at blastocyst stage
Next to me is right now sleeping my 19 days old son. He was only a morula on day five. I was not very optimistic about the transfer but my doctor, a very old man who is still working part time in his seventies, said that the most important thing is that he could see signs of development. He doesn’t believe in discarding “low quality” embryos. He also said that the best environment for growth is inside of the womb and that slowly developing embryos should be transferred as soon as possible to have the best chance. So don’t lose hope. I will be keeping my fingers crossed for you.
Aww thank you so much for your hope and support. I'm so pleased for you that it worked. I have 1 morula and 1 cavitating embryo inside me still hopefully so I'm praying that they survive. It's so hard to get the Hospital to say whether anything is normal or possible as I guess they don't want to get your hopes up too much but it's nice to hear a positive story and I hope mine is positive too. Thank you so much Nat xx
