Hi everyone

I've just been diagnosed with low vitamin D, mine is 60 and it should be greater than 75. I understand vit D can affect fertility. Should I be concerned as I'm about to start my 2nd Round this month. I'm already taking pregnacare vitamins

Any thoughts welcome x

Hi I'm not medical but if it was me I would ask GP/Gyane to prescribe a stronger vitamin D. You want to know your next round of IVF has the best chance. I was anaemic and my iron level was so low my GP prescribed me ferrous sulpate- very strong type of iron which can only be got via prescription. xoxo

Hello .

I had a low vitamin D it was 10’000 and was told needed to be 50’000 . So was put on 20’000 ui/ iu vitmamin d tablets once a week. I am pregnant with twins and it seems to of stabilised .

A lot of people suffer with vitamin d deficiencies in countries where there isn’t a lot of sun.

Worth mentioning to your specialist or gp to see what they can do to give you the best chances at ivf. All the very best xx
