What are people's thoughts on the Fib-4 test in terms of its accuracy and reliability as an indicator of fibrosis?

Hello, I think it’s definitely a valuable help in assessing your condition. But as it’s the case with many other calculations it should be looked at in context with other blood test results and other symptoms, condition etc…

Assessing fibrosis without biopsy is difficult and involves taking into account many aspects. That’s why those calculation were invented.

My dr did that assessment, also- which helped with a diagnosis. Noninvasive! Mixed results generally - she diagnosed a hepatic autoimmune disease. I am much better currently, but a new Dr ordered a fivroscan - so we shall see!
