High (997) Absolute Eosinophils

Seeking answers, is there a connection of absolute eosinophils to a fatty liver? The range states 15-500 as normal. In six months I have gone from 10 to 997.

I thank everyone in advance for their thoughts.

Hi Red

Those are one of the white blood cells. High values are most commonly from an infection or allergic reaction so it is a good idea to discuss it with your doc. They do vary quite a lot naturally so likely not a hair on fire value but best to understand.

Thank you so much for the quick response. That brings me comfort knowing it is not related to NASH. I pray it is a food allergy for that would be an easy resolve. I was able to make an appointment with my MD tomorrow. As many doc's his knowledge about NASH is just not there and he admitted that to me. I think med schools did not have classes years ago on this subject. However, I am going to ask for his blessings to see a Gastro doc for an updated liver scan. Have a blessed day!!!😀
