It is really hard to answer that question as everyone deals with different issues. In general, being more active is a benefit but it is a good idea to discuss it with your doc.

Thank you for your advice, I've just been recently diagnosed and there's so much I don't know yet. I have an upcoming appointment with my doctor.

I find that my liver functions better at rest. I am a very active person and have lived for 22 years with stage 4 NASH there are times I can't put one foot in front of the other, or I get what I call crashing spells. I go to bed at that point. Most nights I sleep 8 to 10 hours and feel great and ready to go. If I only get 5 to 7 I drag and then start feeling bad. If I realize I ate something my liver isn't digesting well I go to bed. Make sure to take time out for yourself and as hard as it is try to keep stress out of your life. The liver does not like stress. Your body might be different, but that is how mine works.
