Your doc thinks your problem is genetic in nature so you will need to be tested for that before any treatment plan can be made.
I am not a doctor but I know enough to know that something called "auto immune hepatitis" exists. This can cause cirrhosis but if caught early it can be treated with medicine before it goes that far. Get the tests done as soon as you can, take it from there, right now you do not have to hit the panic button but you should do the tests very soon. Google "autoimmune hepatitis" or search this site, there is a lot of information out there.
And of course your bloods could mean you have something completely different like arthritis - or nothing at all, just a bad/mistaken blood test (it happens - medicine is a science, but no science is perfect).
Don't panic and good luck!
liver disease can have an autoimmune component
I’m not sure what would have flagged them to send you their
But my liver doctor is the one that did an ANA test and found out I have autoimmune
But there are two liver autoimmune
PBC
And hepatitis
Pbc is very common with my autoimmune so they keep an eye on that
Maybe something in your blood work shows you may have an autoimmune disease
You can ask
But if you see your blood work it would be called and ANA test
And I’m banking on that since you have a diagnosis they did they test already and you may have a positive ANA they want to look into and see what treatment to start
not sure just that liver enzymes high and another liver enzyme also high not sure what it’s called .
She said unsure whether they will repeat bloods or do a liver biopsy
I have no symptoms for anything else just high liver enzymes a bit of fatty liver
Taking liver cleanese
Fo you thinks it’s worth taking vitamin e ?
Has your doctor suggested vitamin E? Discuss before taking anything, with them. Mine had me stop my multi vitamin and take vitamin E 400 IU for 3 months then stop it and go back on the multi which has Vitamin E in small amount. Vitamin E can accumulate, isn't eliminated quickly by your body. He also had me start Vitamin C but again, ask your doctor if you have an iron problem they may not want you to take it. He suggest it for healing along with diet, losing weight and exercise. Good luck.
