It shows the structure of tissue and can show things like tumors but is limited in its ability to tell a lot about what a tissue is made of.

I had read somewhere that it was almost as good as a biopsy.

It can show degrees of quality of your liver, some tumors, fibrosis which is scarring of liver and possibly cirrhosis which is much worse but there are degrees of severity of each. Ron
