Hi,
I just got the results from an ultrasound with elastography from yesterday. My liver stiffness was measured as 7.4kPa. My gastroenterologist sent a note along with the results saying this shows “little to no fibrosis” and that this is “good news”. I’ve been trying to corroborate this and I’m seeing that this is technically F2 fibrosis. I had mildly elevated enzymes for several years and a fatty liver on a December CT scan. I’ve changed my lifestyle quite drastically in the last three months, losing around 15 pounds, and my last blood test about a month ago showed enzymes in the normal range. Is this in line with how others have seen this type of kPa number interpreted?
I also have a somewhat basic question. I see so much conflicting information on whether fibrosis can be reversed through lifestyle changes. Can this number go down? Or is it more of a project of just keeping it from going up? Is this test enough to have a clear picture of what’s happening? Any and all advice appreciated.
Thanks so much for you time. You are all awesome.
