Hello everyone,

Yes legumes are a good source of plant protein. A combination of calorie restriction and move to Mediterranean or plant based diet works well for your liver health. The administrators have a link on this site to diet guidance for NAFLD.
I can't to much fiber, too many carbs ...
I didn't think Fiber had any 'digestible carbs'. My liver doc told me to eat more fiber to help nafld.,plus lose excess wt.
I can't have any beans, half of vegis, most fruits can't have except berries, no pasta ,potato, rice, bread. I eat a lot eggs, hard cheese. low carb greek yogurt, I drink a lot of water and black coffee, write me back, Ron
That's great Herman! I went very low carb for 33 days. After that I quit losing. Now I'm eating low carb but not 20 grams like before. I'm not losing but at least I'm maintaining. I really miss potatoes, bread and fruit.
Thanksgiving will be really tough.
Hi yes thanksgiving was hard, I fixed a quiche for my son and daughter in law as that is what they requested, son had a jaw tooth removed so he felt that is what he wanted. I just replied to one of your earlier messages so this will be short and sweet, hope you continuing to do well.....Keep up the excellent work and keep me in your loop, I enjoy your notes of encouragement. Ron
Soybeans and mung beans, according to studies, are excellent for the liver, with mung bean sprouts being better than the beans.
