So, I'm 9 months in with my fatty liver diagnosis. Pain is less as I try to eat better. You know, other than the "eat more veggies, fruit and less white flour products" I don't see a really good dieting strategy out there. The gluten free movement seems so easy to follow....but the fatty liver thing feels less defined. Has anyone used a specific resource for their diet change?
PS: Side note.....my pain goes away after a couple of table spoons of extra virgin olive oil. SO STRANGE!

I agree. I guess, for me, I would like a little more structure. I will be following your post. Interesting about the impact EVOOhas for you. Thanks for posting and wishing you the best.
The olive oil makes perfect sense. Here is a link to our approach to food. Not a diet, just being aware of the kinds of choices you want to make but olive oil is specifically a therapy. I take 4 tablespoons a day.
I agree. I also feel a bit lost regarding the diet. Have been working on reducing carbs due to my type 2 diabetes. I’m on Metformin also and my Endocrinologist is pleased with my numbers. This evidentially is not enough since I was recently diagnosed with NASH stage 1. Really confused on what additional changes to make in my diet. I wish you well on your journey.
