NAFLD and Right upper quadrant abdominal pain

Two years ago my doctor said after doing blood tests and ultrasound that I have mild NAFLD, my ALT and GGT are higher than the normal range, ALT is 75 (normal range was 55) and GGT is 100 ( normal range 12-64), My question is if any of you who were diagnosed with NAFLD has experienced pain in the right upper quadrant of the abdomen? I describe my pain as continues dull ache to burning pain.

I am 43 yo/male, no diabetes and no alcohol.

Right upper quadrant pain, RUQ, is a common experience with liver disease. The meaning is very individual, but with elevated blood enzymes and long lasting pain it is worth asking if your diagnosis is accurate. One of the problems we have as patients is that many people have been surprised to learn that they were misdiagnosed or undiagnosed for years. The pain is often associated with advancing fibrosis so a key question whether the doc who said mild NAFLD was knowledgeable about liver disease. If that isn't clear a second opinion might be worth getting. Generally, testing for liver disease is inadequate so being proactive is usually a good idea.
