I was looking at a CT scan report of my liver from July 2016 and I found this information in it. There is atherosclerotic disease involving the non-aneurysmal abdominal aorta. What does that mean? My gastro nurse practitioner hasn't mentioned this to me but I found in the report as I was looking through my history

HopeFrog, I will try my best to draw on my old medical knowledge but please talk to your doctor about this. Atherosclerotic I believe that is hardening of the non-aneurysmal abdominal aorta. My anatomy and physiology is very rusty. I would suggest googling it and to talk with your doctor. It may be at such a small degree effected that that you doctor didn’t think it was important enough to tell you. I don’t know. 🤷🏼♀️ I have had stuff pop up where one doctor 👩🏼⚕️wanted to tell me something but the senior doctor 👨🏼⚕️ told the other one doctor to tell me everything was fine. Do you have high cholesterol? What is your age if you don’t mind me asking? If you are young or in your senior years I have notice that either you are either too young to worry about it or you are too old to fix it. You may have to take that information to get a second opinion. I’m sorry I wasn’t of better help here. My memory isn’t working at full capacity. Too young to be having memory problems so not really getting a whole lot of help with that. 🤷🏼♀️
Build up of plaque/cholesterol in the walls of the abdominal aorta. No aneurism in your abdominal aorta...that part is a good thing.
