Nash 101

Hi Rosemarie713, I'm so sorry you were diagnosed with Nash. I to am diagnosed with Nash. I began as NAFLD in 2014. My stomach had looked as if I was pregnant for a year prior and my enzymes were slightly elevated. I was told we would watch it. I am also T2 Diabetes, that's very hard to control. My triglycerides shot up to 1625. Developed cyst on left kidney and by 2015 I was by Fibrosure blood scan I was Nash 2, Fibrosis level 3. My MRI said enlargement of liver (nothing new) at 23cm , plus pancreatic duct in head of pancreas enlarged mildly, as was spleen and gallbladder. I was seeing a liver doctor, his advice....no cheese. Lose 20 pounds I am 57 5'8" and 150, that's not overweight or obese. No recommendations nothing. I saw a new liver doctor this month, she's a lot better, she did a Cat Scan liver showed Areas of Parechmyal Steaosis, some clear areas, other organs were fine, except cyst on kidney grew a bit and mild calcification in aorta. And my AST was a bit higher at 73 from 51 but my ggt was down from 299 to 165. My levels vary a lot, but I still can't get concise diet and exercise ideas or rules to follow to remain as liver friendly as possible. Every doctor out of my 4 says something different, my PCP, my endocrine doctor, and liver doctor. I would be interested to follow and see what information you get as everyone seems to say something different. This is scary stuff and I want to take care of myself the best I can. I wish you the very best. Avoid Alcohol, and eat well. Take care
