I don't tend to drink sugary drinks, and gave up orange juice (the kind that comes in cartons) when I was cutting back on sugar. When certain members of my family are guzzling a whole carton of orange juice I have been known to go on at them about sugars and eating an orange instead. It doesn't convince them though.
The other day my niece was drinking a canned juice (passion fruit) and my daughter picked it up to check the calories and said 'hmm, could be worse' but when I looked at it I guesstimated it had the equivalent of over 4 teaspoons of sugar. Now, would you pour your child a glass of water and add in 4 teaspoons of sugar? No, but if it comes in a can....
Why don't you include water? I don't know what you think is the value of your surveys when you keep excluding options. It feels like you are trying to skew the results, except I haven't seen you using the results for nefarious purposes.
If you wanted for some reason to only include sugar, the you should explain that. But then only allow tea and coffee as an option with added sweeteners.
Some people are not aware of how much sugar can be added to drinks, and may think what they are eating and drinking is okay, when itβs not.
I think these polls highlight facts which some of us don't have knowledge of.
Now if the supermarket had a chart with individual drinks options and the equivalent amount of sugar also in big letters at the side of each bottle/can then no one would be left in the dark about sugar content. Would they?
Keep doing the polls Jerry. I find them informative. ππ
Thank you Lesley1234567 you are absolutely right the polls are fun and they make is think about what we are consuming and whats just as important some members really enjoy interacting on the polls.
With polls we are limited to 8 choices so tend to have 7 with Other and even though this is restrictive it makes it really easy to set a poll.
Thank you for your kind comments and support it is appreciated.
