To try and help keep members safe we'd like to offer badges to members so other users know they need looking out for and I thought either High risk, HR or 70+ would let us all know that this person needs looking out for during this unsettling time. Because we can use socail media to support you with a click of a button...and we intend to do all that we can.
We want all our members to know that we care about you and will do what we can to make you feel safe especially if you have to confine your self at home live alone or have special needs.
I think that the more we do to help and reassure each and other the better as this affects us all in one way or another.
So thoughts and comments welcome and if any one wants a badge please say.
Thank you,
Jerry.

Thanks Jerry. But I shouldn't "steal" someone else's badge. I'm not that old and I feel quite safe here in China it's still a fantastic idea though!
In my city, there's only been one new case lately and that was someone returning from Europe. They were tested on arrival and immediately put into quarantine for two weeks.
I'm very well, thanks. I've been out and about getting the car washed this afternoon. First time since end of January. Believe me, it's not a white car any more. Everybody is all masked up and not getting too close. But even so, the risk nowadays is very low. The biggest danger is from those recently arriving from overseas...
Actually being at home isn't such a big deal for me. I can find lots of things to do including fixing all the things I promised to do many moons ago And our cats must be wondering why everybody's been at home every day The only thing I've missed is the starting line for my running restart. I'd planned to get back into it at the beginning of Feb. I'm still waiting on the gun Maybe next month.
I hope your not finding being confined to home too stressful. I found that having a fixed routine helped a lot. And if you can, try to get out and do some exercise/get fresh air every day. If you're an early riser, you can do it whilst all the lazy bones are still asleep.
This is an excellent thread Jerry, thanks. I am not high risk, but have been concerned to have not seen S11m for a little while, who I understand is over 70. I wanted to use the opportunity of this thread to wish him well and send our very best wishes
Thanks Stoozie and very well done you as we can use social media to look out for one another. I hope that S11m and everyone else is OK and staying safe.
I am a few months over 70, but IF and losing five stone has made me low-risk - my theory is, the sooner I get Covid-19, the sooner I get immune to it. A few months ago, my friend died of virus pneumonia - he shared it with me, but I only had mild symptoms.
I think there have been no cases in South Warwickshire.
Does it seem that Covid-19 spreads where there is high population density and high atmospheric pollution: Wuhan, Milan and London?
Here it is easy to go for a 5km walk without getting within arm's length of anyone.
I'm trying to do the same, but I seem to have nominated myself neighbourhood coordinator, so I haven't done any actual work, just spent the daylight hours in front of a monitor.
