My December Fasting challenge is to eat nothing before 11 am. This won't be a problem, hunger-wise, it's the social pressure to agree to cake at 10 am at various festive events
I will continue to eat nothing after 14:00, except for days when I am cold and hungry and below my target weight (15% body fat) - and if I have a "festive meal" in the evening I will eat OMAD, as I did for four consecutive days last year.
OMAD only works well if one is well fat-adapted. Years ago, if I tried having a light lunch before a large evening meal, I was too hungry to appreciate the meal!
Hi Stoozie- I will continue to fast minimum 16 hours a day, preferably 17-18 hours. I like the idea of this thread, and just generally staying in touch with others on the forum a bit better!
Fasting for me is not something I force myself to conform to, it’s just a natural response to not being hungry... and I love it!
I'm planning to carry on with my regular fasting/ eating plan thru December: I stop eating by 8pm latest on Sunday and fast from then until my body is ready to eat (between 35 and 74hrs). And most other days I eat omad.
I'm not too bothered about extra treats over xmas tbh. Partly because I'm enjoying getting healthier, lighter, smaller
And partly because I'm concentrating on staying sober (I'm a serious problem drinker, so this is the healthiest change I can make for myself), and eating carbs and "luxury" foods just makes me want to drink so it's not worth it ..
Of course I'll have the odd chocolate and a bit of xmas pud but it will be accounted for in my calorie allowance 😀
I'm going to celebrate the season in sobriety, with quality family time this year 💞
with lots of disruption to my normal routines over December I think OMAD is quite a good way to go for me. Not on my working days, but for example, on Saturday when I was going out in the evening, I opted for just the one meal in the evening, then same again today.
