Hi all
Hello and a very warm welcome to the fasting forum.
Don't worry, none of us are furious, and we don't expect you to be either . Just start gently, listen to your body, and pause your fasting if you are experiencing anything you aren't comfortable with. Our group has 2 admins, myself and Hidden , and our very knowledgeable volunteer S11m who is experienced in longer fasts, and posts links to help the group understand the science behind fasting, and how best to go about it.
We polled our members, and one of the things they felt was that if fasting for weightloss purposes, it is counter-productive to let yourself get hungry. We therefore recommend that if this applies to you, you will FIRSTLY look at your diet, and change it's balance, so that fasting doesn't leave you ravenous. We don't want you eating the whole fridge when you pause your fast.
To this end, can we please recommend the 2 sister-forums: healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh... a vibrant, busy group with lots of great advice about how to eat in your eating window, to prevent excessive hunger. You will find many members posting on the Daily Diary who use intermittent fasting, and the shared mealplans will help you select foods which will support your fasting journey.
healthunlocked.com/lchf-diet another group, with many knowledgeable members who use a Low Carb (or moderate Carb) High Fat diet to reduce their insulin spikes and therefore get appetite well under control.
cheritorrox has recommended these posts from those 2 forums as a great place to start: the moreless "My low carb journey":

The other really important message before you begin, is that there are some health conditions/concerns which may mean fasting is not suitable for you. We polled our members to get an idea of what these are, and the results are here: healthunlocked.com/fasting-... If in ANY doubt do please consult your GP/consultant before beginning. It is very important to take care of yourself.
