As it's August and peak holiday time here are a couple for articles on IF when on holiday and there are some very interesting points, I think the main being mindful of what you eat and when so you can have treats but there is nothing to gain by over eating or eating a 'treat' for the sake of it. I think that when we can see treats for what they are it makes life a lot easier and fasting is very good at resetting our mindset to food and what and when we eat.
Enjoy your holiday folks and your fasting experiences while on holiday would be very interesting and helpful to others.
You have done it again - found something informative in a "newspaper". I hope that people who read articles on Fasting will look up "fasting" and find this forum!
OMAD can work on holiday...
Either:
-Have a keto full English or Mediterranean breakfast and spend the day on the beach (sun, sea, sand and exercise), or walking in the mountains.
-Skip breakfast and lunch and eat in the evening.
-Have a holiday at a fasting health spa and fast for a week?
Hey RedUnicorn and why not, I think that's a much better attitude than if you have fixed expectations, because you can enjoy things without feeling under pressure now. 😊
Sooo, I tried to keep away from carbs and stick to 2 meals a day. I put on 1.75 pounds in the 2 weeks away which for me is pretty good going. I had the yummy fresh ice cream and drank the ice cold beer and cocktails so no regrets!
