I used to find that just restricting how much food I ate and sticking to three meals a day, meant I always felt hungry and therefore more prone to temptation. When I fast, I don't really feel hungry, and I don't feel tempted to snack either. It just seems like a better deal all round.

I don't think so...ive suffered from eating disorders and haven't lost weight. im trying to move to a heather wholesome diet and it seems to be helping me feel better.
The idea is that you are not hungry between meals then it is not hard to do? you maybe need to eat more its a step by step thing. not straight in, The way I did it took 3 weeks now its perfect and Im not hungry at all eat once a day.
Depends on what you eat and drink after. Calories restraint will lose weight but then it depends on fore and after eating and drinking.
