Help after disimpaction

Hi there, My 6 year old son did disimpaction over the Christmas holidays, and we've had nearly 3 weeks of following a toilet sit plan and no accidents. He had an accident on Monday, and one today. (Type 4 poos on the toilet in between). The accident today was porridge like, with a bit of sticky solid on the edge. ERIC Helpline suggested doing a mini disimpaction on Friday and Saturday night - has anyone had any success doing this?(He's on a maintenance dose of 2.5 sachets of laxido).

Thank you!

Yes, I think that. Wondering if anyone has had success doing mini disimpactions on weekends.
