My daughter is 8 and has suffered from constipation most of her life. Over the last 7 months it has got particularly bad, with almost daily soiling, though she has always managed to poo 2-3 times a week and mostly these are normal on the scale.
The Dr has told me to do disimpaction regime with her, however I am just a bit concerned as my daughter is still managing to do 1 or 2 normal poos a week at present, as well as the soiling. Is disimpaction really required?!
Also wondering if the soiling could be more linked to her being distracted on her tablet etc as they get worse when she is home from school and at weekends.
Any advise?

Could give her more snack fibres and reduce tablet time, or get her to have breaks inbetween tablet time. Toilet routine will help also plenty water and fibre, small pack of nuts or some fruit chopped. She may need to be poohinh 1s a day or every other day. Chia seeds. Blue berrirs and grapes, peanut butter really helps. Toilet routine before and after meals. Should help.
